Research at the Institute
for Landscape Manangement

Landscape Management covers a wide range of topics and focuses not only on the physical features of the environment, but also the edaphic, climatic and ecological aspects, the social dimensions of the inhabitants and the interactions between all of these. This broad field of research demands an equally extensive array of research methodologies for the various research projects conducted at the institute. Research methodologies, therefore, draw in equal measure from physical, technical and social science backgrounds. For experimental field research, the Bohrer Field Research Site gives best opportunities.

The Institute for Landscape Management places particular importance on research partnerships with the scientific community, private industry, government and NGOs (German: Partners).

A list of research topics can be found by following the links on the right side. Please note that most of the abstracts and staff pages are available only in German.
