The Institute for Landscape Management at the 
Faculty of Forest and Environmental Science of the
University
of Freiburg has been conducting research on the anthroposphere
since 1979. The focus of the institute is not only on the ecology
of landscapes, but also on the human inhabitants. Research
at the institute, therefore, is comprised of forest and watercourse
studies, as well as research concerning social geography.
