When arriving by train...

... rom Freiburg train station, the easiest way to reach us is by tram (Straßenbahn). From the platform, use the escalators / stairs at the end of the platform to reach the bridge over the railway tracks and cross to the tram stop on the other side. If you take the escalator from the platform to the bridge you will already be on the correct side of the tram tracks. Tickets are available from the automatic machines at the tram stop, from the machines on the tram or from the driver. Take the number 1,3 or 5 tram and drive two stops until tram stop Bertholdsbrunnen. Here you change for tram number 2 that is travelling in the direction of Zähringen and drive until the Tennenbacher Straße tram stop. You will see on the left-hand side of the road (in the direction the tram is travelling) the slightly set-back, large red Herdergebäude. Turn left at the next intersection (Tennenbacher Straße) and enter the courtyard of the Herdergebäude building (approximately 30 metres from the corner). Use the right-hand doorway directly inside the first gate in order to reach us (3rd floor).
