Long term research in the Arctic. Founder of the Groupe de Recherche en Ecologie Arctique. Initiation and leadership of a long term research on lemming cycles in the Karupelv Valley Study site in the NE Greenland National Park.

In charge of pluridisciplinary project devoted to impacts of flooding on forest stands
